Calvert Crary

Calvert Crary is the Founder and Executive Director of FlowerSchool Los Angeles, and the Executive Director of FlowerSchool New York. Previously an award winning photographer, Calvert made the transition to floral entrepreneur, having opened and run three thriving flower shops in New York City. With his production skills and expertise, Calvert continues to train and coach many students on how to successfully open floral businesses or reorganize them into thriving careers.

Tom Sebenius

Tom Sebenius credits his love of flowers to his long-time association with the Pasadena Tournament of Rose Parade.  Since the age of 9, Tom has been lending his talents to the decoration of the parade’s floral masterpieces.  After obtaining a degree in Theatrical Design from Fordham University in NYC, Tom melded his appreciation for drama, pageantry and flowers into working for several well-respected event floral companies in both Los Angeles and New York, eventually co-founding his own floral studio in 2013.  After numerous speaking engagements including the Society of American Florist conference and The Macy’s Flower Show, it didn’t take long for Tom to heed the call of his second vocation, teaching.  The FlowerSchool Los Angeles provides Tom the perfect opportunity to inspire new designers and continue to grow and promote the floral industry.  As Operations Director, Tom is in charge of all aspects of the school’s floral and event production.

Ana Dahlman

Ana is a seasoned design professional with experience in fashion styling, event production and marketing. She began her fashion career in New York, working in event production and public relations at People’s Revolution. After obtaining a degree in Fashion Marketing from Parsons the New School For Design,  Ana worked for renown fashion editor Camilla Nickerson on projects ranging from W Magazine shoots to high fashion ad campaigns to runway shows. She went on to work on to work as fashion stylist and trend forecaster. 
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2016,  Ana launched a Venice based beach accessories company Sunshine Dreaming. Ana is an expert at curating unique pop event experiences.  Ana loves everything in the design world and is excited to bring her fashion background into the world of flowers. Ana is in charge of all Flower School special events.

Tara Sandonato

Tara Sandonato’s 19 years of experience as a freelance floral designer has lead her to Boston, New York, San Francisco and now Los Angeles.  Having worked with some the industries top design firms, Tara has created designs for countless events, photo shoots and V.I.P. clients.  Currently, Tara conceptualizes and executes projects on behalf of FlowerSchool LA and continues to freelance for many of LA’s best floral studios. For just a taste of Tara’s talent be sure to follow her on Instagram at @ay_poppy_
