Introductory Series ‘Class 3: Composition Bouquet’ with Anthony Maslo of The Boy Who Cried Flowers
February 18 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
After working with mono-floral (single type of flower) designs, this class will discuss methods of combining different types of flowers together for centerpieces. Design concepts including size, proportion and balance will be discussed. Students will learn how to mix different type of flowers and textures together and how to choose the right type of flowers to fit an occasion and season. Conditioning harder stems, such as hydrangea and other seasonal elements will be introduced so flowers drink through their stems and petals.
In this class students will learn how to properly use Oasis, while keeping the design looking more natural and organic. This class will also demonstrate how to use different types of vases for the same composition and how a container can shape and change the overall design style of an arrangement.
