Airplants (tillandsia) are living sculptures, with a personality all their own. They thrive suspended in air, unconstrained by the limits of soil.
Join us for an engaging hands-on workshop with Airplantman, Josh Rosen. As a landscape architect, artist, and horticulturalist, Airplantman has engineered and designed the best way possible to showcase his beloved airplants using an elevated design that he developed over the years: powder coated aluminum and stainless steel cable that is hand strung and waterproof. Unlike cheaper wood and chicken wire versions out there, this is a high-end design created to last and meant to display as art.
You will learn all about air plants and how to best care for them. Josh will share with you his approach to styling airplants, and under his guidance, you will create your own custom airplant artwork to take home with you in one of his eco-friendly designed frames made here in California. These unique creations make great gifts and add a low-maintenance living sculpture to any space. Josh's work can be seen on a massive scale at the Quicksilver store in Venice, CA.
Each ticket is good for one 11”x18” Airplantman frame with plants and instruction. Two students are allowed to participate together and share a frame if they would like.
